Happy Midautumn Festival!

All the smiling faces in many places, all those candles aglow on terraces;

All the lanterns in rainbow colours, all the mooncakes in various flavours.

Celebrating together under the bright Midautumn lunar moonshine;

In remembrance of the Rabbit and Moon Goddess divine.

Malaysia Festival 2012

Every year, I try to show my support to the hardworking committee members of Malaysia Festival or MFest. Well, haha, okay, support for the food and also certain friends. This year's committee are a fortunate bunch, as they had awesome weather for the event, which in turn resulted in a very encouraging crowd at Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour.

Some of my friends, like Eugene here, is part of a committee that sacrifices time from studies and rest.

Quality control time for Eugene? Haha, sharing a light banter with the owner of Jackie M Restaurant in Concord, Jackie.

Every year, I never fail to get my serving of char kuey teow from Jackie. I love their char kuey teow. This year, I even printed off a voucher she shared to redeem a bowl of bubur chacha.

My other friends queued at other stalls to grab other Malaysian delicacies like satay, nasi lemak and nasi ayam penyet.

Of course, a stop by the PappaRoti stall to say hi to Junda is a must!

There never is a moment during my time at the event that I am 'free'. My friends always complain that I am too busy saying hi to other friends that I coincidentally meet at the event.

I guess when the sun is directly above you at midday, it does get a little hard to withstand.

And this year's entertainment did not fail to stand out!

Personally, I feel that there is more variety in the food and performances this year. The only negative for me was the female emcee. Kudos to the 2012 committee!

Happy Malaysia Day!

Proud to say that this is done by a high school classmate of mine, the charming Alexis Keith Fernandez.

Proud to be Malaysian.

Happy Malaysia Day.

Happy birthday, Ai Vee!

Last year, it was a Korean barbeque dinner in Eastwood and New York Cheesecake. This year, it was a Chinese banquet at Chatswood BBQ Kitchen.

This was followed by dessert and drinks ala Malaysian fashion at Mamak Chatswood.

Oh, and of course, there was the mouth-watering dark chocolate birthday cake from 85°C Cafe.

Happy 23rd, Ai Vee!

Boo Loves Berry

Boo Loves Berry is a designer toy distributor in both Singapore and Malaysia, and is currently the sole distributor of Deego Toys Spain. Head to their website to view their colourful gallery of products and to learn of the Boo Berry story.

Boo Loves Berry also aims to make a difference by seeking opportunities to partner with organisations or foundations that support and aid unfortunate children.

They were recently at the Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Convention (STGCC) where they had a booth filled with their adorable Deego Toys.

Lots of creative talent out there. Like them on Facebook and follow their story!

And why am I suddenly promoting them? Well, because, one of its co-founders is my childhood classmate from Desa. It started with her blog in 2010 and as we all know, when you follow your passion and dreams, you will achieve great things because you love what you do. Yin, I'm so proud of you! XOXO
